This 1920s bungalow had been the victim of an insensitive addition in the 1980s. Without original documentation to guide us we were able to increase the usable space of the second floor while redicing the overall footprint and restoring the facade to an apropriate form.

18th century Colonial houses are rarely asymmetrical. When the owner approached us to add a garage and master bedroom suite on this 1940s Colonial Revival house, we saw it as an opportunity to correct a fundamental error of the design and restore the house to its original typology.
